Vanderbilt Divinity Library’s Revised Common Lectionary improves access, enhances Christian worship

A valuable free resource from the Jean and Alexander Heard Libraries’ Divinity Library is making Christian worship more accessible to millions of biblical scholars, church leaders and congregants worldwide. The online Revised Common Lectionary receives more than a million visits each year—making it Vanderbilt University’s second most-visited site on the web.

Heard Libraries and Wild Bunch present Grammy-winning roots musician Dom Flemons in concert Sept. 14

Grammy Award-winning songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Dom Flemons will perform at Vanderbilt University on Saturday, Sept. 14, in a concert presented by the Jean and Alexander Heard Libraries and the Wild Bunch Lecture Fund.

Albert Moll hypnotism collection now fully cataloged

In 1935, the Vanderbilt medical library acquired a unique, 840-item collection of books, pamphlets and newspaper clippings on hypnotism from the personal library of the prominent German psychiatrist Dr. Albert Moll. Offered sight unseen by a German bookseller, the multilingual collection offered a unique perspective on the history of hypnosis as well as related subjects.

Heard Libraries’ Digital Lab awards seed grants to four emerging digital initiatives
