The Vanderbilt University Libraries signed an agreement with HathiTrust in March of 2020 that provided faculty, students, and staff with online access to approximately 17% of the libraries copyrighted print circulating collections. Hathi Trust’s Emergency Temporary Access Service (ETAS) was invaluable for virtual instruction and research while access to campus was restricted. As the university prepares for a return to full in-person instruction this fall, ETAS will conclude on June 7, 2021. The library will remove HathiTrust links to copyright protected titles from the catalog; however, links to public domain items in HathiTrust will remain. Users may check these materials from the libraries’ physical collections.
