Data visualization is a valuable professional tool for conveying complex information quickly and clearly. Critically analyzing visual elements of charts, images, and infographics is vital to ensure that data is accurately represented and free from bias. Evaluating visualizations also differs significantly from evaluating text. In this workshop, we will discuss elements of data visualizations that affect the way they are interpreted and what questions to ask when evaluating visual data.
