In collaboration with VUIT, the Vanderbilt Libraries have procured three licenses each of both STATA and SPSS software. These licenses are available by accessing the Libraries’ virtual desktop machines. In order to access, students will need to connect via the VMWare Horizon. Navigate to http://anywherevu.vanderbilt.edu/ and select either “Install VMware Horizon Client” (recommended) or “VMware Horizon HTML Access”. After following the instructions for either downloading the desktop client or accessing via the web, then click on either “Stata for Heard Libraries” or “SPSS for Heard Libraries” to access the software. Note that while any student can connect to the Virtual Machine, only 3 people at one time will be able to use STATA and SPSS. The Libraries will monitor usage and may increase capacity if necessary.
