It is said that every person is only six degrees of separation from any other person in the world. This idea birthed the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game in which players try to connect an actor to Kevin Bacon in six steps or less. The question remains, “Why Kevin Bacon?”
In this workshop, led by Suellen Stringer-Hye, participants will perform a network analysis to see if Kevin Bacon is truly at the center of the Hollywood universe. Participants will gain familiarity with the Neo4j database and Cypher, the Neo4j query language. Learn the basics of network analysis while having fun.
