Spring Cleaning for Your Data

Friday, March 20th 11:00 AM, Central Library

Spring is traditionally a time for cleaning—a closet, a house, or a room. Few people think about cleaning and preserving their datasets. These types of data management make it easier to use and share data in the long run. Some funding agencies even require that data be regularly cleaned and preserved.

Join Morgan Daniels this Friday in learning how to regularly clean and preserve your research data. Morgan will introduce attendees to OpenRefine, an open source tool for cleaning up data. Participants will explore the uses of OpenRefine and will also learn tips and tricks for data preservation.

See the complete list and descriptions of the remaining Friday workshop sessions.
