Two New Database Trials at the Music Library:

Rock’s Backpages (www.rocksbackpages.com) is an online library of rock writing. It features approximately 17,000 articles, reviews, and interviews from music magazines and the mainstream press, dating from the early 1960s to the present. The database currently features more than 17,000 articles, representing approximately 2,000 different artists (including the Beatles, the Doors, Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, Radiohead, and Bob Dylan). New content is being added weekly, and the site also features 200 previously unpublished audio interviews with major rock artists.

medici tv – (http://www.medici.tv/) is a product that features on-demand, high definition video of more than 600 films of classical music events, including concerts, master classes, ballets, operas, and rehearsals. In addition, medici tv offers live broadcasts of more than 80 live events each year, including the Aix en Provence Festival, the Aspen Music Festival, the Placido Domingo Operalia Competition, the Glyndebourne Festival, and the Lucerne Festival.
