Information on Open Access and Transformative Agreements

The Vanderbilt University Libraries are signing numerous licenses with academic publishers who are promoting open access journals. Currently there are more than 1000 journals available across all disciplines to publish in. These transformative agreements are different from the traditional publishing models because they promote open access which also produces more views and more citations.

IMPORTANT: Corresponding authors from VU and VUMC are eligible for the open access discount or subsidy. Once you submit to a journal, select Vanderbilt (University). You must include your vanderbilt.edu or vumc.org email address.
