Join us for an exploration of historical audio recording featuring Martin Fisher, Manager of Recorded Media Collections at the Center for Popular Music (MTSU). Stop by the Wilson Music Library on March 7, from 10 a.m. to noon. Martin will demonstrate a wax cylinder recorder which also includes playback of the recording. Bring your instrument if you would like to do a brief recording. Other historic audio formats will be on display as well as a timeline of music audio formats from 1903 to 2023. Free cookies and beverages will be available.
