This event will take a dive into how mixed methods can be used in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education research. As research becomes more inherently interdisciplinary, analysis methods and tools to conduct research are expanding. We want to look at not just the quantitative side of analysis, but also gain insight into what those numbers can mean. Mixed methods analysis gives an adaptable and powerful manner to do this that cannot always be achieved by focusing on one or the other. This workshop will be useful if you conduct or are thinking about conducting STEM education research or simply focuses on some human element of STEM research.
