Welcome back for the start of the new academic year! We in the Digital Scholarship and Communications office hope that your summer was fruitful and that you are recharged and ready to explore emerging topics in digital scholarship with us. This Fall, DiSC is pleased to offer a series of beginner and intermediate learning opportunities in GIS, network analysis, and research computation and data visualization with both Python and R. As always, we would love to hear from you. What digital scholarship tools or methods would you like to learn more about? We would be happy to tailor trainings to your class, research unit, or other campus group.
We are also planning a set of one-time instruction events throughout the semester. Coming up Monday, Aug. 29, and in partnership with the Digital Commons, we are offering an introduction to programming notebooks. Wedenesdays, September 14 and 21 we will explore Constellate, a new tool for text and data mining. We hope to see you there.
Additional information on all these sessions is available on our website.
Please check back frequently, as we will be announcing additional learning opportunities throughout the semester. We look forward to seeing you soon.
