Walker Recognized for Service to Nursing Faculty and Students

School of Nursing Dean Pamela R. Jeffries and Philip Walker, recipient of the School of Nursing Dean’s Award for Outstanding Service to Faculty and Students

Eskind Biomedical Library Director Philip Walker was recognized at the May 2022 Vanderbilt School of Nursing awards ceremony for outstanding service to faculty and students. Dean of the School of Nursing, Pamela R. Jeffries presented the award.

“Philip joined VU’s Annette and Irwin Eskind Biomedical Library in 2013 and was named director in 2018. He has always been a true colleague and friend to the School of Nursing, providing outstanding service to our faculty and students. He is always willing to share his deep knowledge and expertise,” said Jeffries. “Philip ensures we have excellent library resources and embraces innovation in library offerings. He graciously accepts invitations to guest lecture to our students. Most important, he sees himself and the library as true partners in our research, clinical and educational mission.
