Amid Summer Classes, Netflix Keeps Student Connected to Family

This is a third in a series of articles written by the Science and Engineering library’s student assistants about their life during the COVID-19  quarantine.

My name is Kolade Balogun and I am an international student from London, England studying Chemical Engineering.  Honestly I haven’t really been doing too much other than just relaxing and staying on top of summer classes.  I have taken the chance to get through a bunch of the series I have wanted to watch on Netflix.  Netflix Party has been a good way to keep in touch with friends and family by sometimes watching a movie or something together.  Everyday I try to speak to my parents to make sure they’re ok and let them know I’m fine.  It’s nice to do video calls as well so I can see them sometimes.  Also, with so much time on my hands, I’ve managed to be pretty consistent with home exercises to stay fit and healthy.
