This workshop will equip attendees with the skills to navigate not only the complexity of the modern information environment (e.g. how information is shared, consumed, and created), but the critical analyses and synthesis of information in a useful and effective way. Through hands-on activities and discussions, you will build the skills and strategies needed to cope with the overabundance of information, including managing your information consumption. For those who are interested, there will be an opportunity to create individualized media consumption diets to follow and “weigh-ins” throughout spring semester. Food and refreshments will be provided during the workshop.
