Spring Celebration of Music: Featuring the Theremin, 3/21

On March 21 from 3-5 p.m., join us in the Wilson Music Library for a celebration of the theremin, a 20th century electronic instrument controlled without physical contact. Best known for its eerie, other-worldly sounds, the theremin is featured in several famous movies (The Day the Earth Stood Still, Spell Bound, The Lost Weekend), and popular and avant-garde music of the 20th and 21st centuries. See a demonstration of the theremin by Blair Senior Lecturer Lyn Bingham, try out the instrument for yourself, and enjoy space-age refreshments during our annual Spring Celebration.

This event is free and open to all Vanderbilt students, faculty, and staff. The Anne Potter Wilson Music Library is located on the 2nd floor of the Blair School of Music. For more information on the event, see here.
