Thanks to a generous donation from Mr. and Mrs. Richard J. Miller, Jr., the Wilson Music Library has just added a subscription to Met Opera on Demand. This streaming audio/video database includes full-length Met performances, including HD videos from the Met’s series of movie theater transmissions, classic telecasts, and radio broadcasts. Don’t miss Rosa Ponselle as Violetta in La Traviata in a 1935 broadcast, one of the earliest Met broadcasts to survive complete or Leontyne Price’s legendary 1985 farewell performance of Aïda. Watch Renée Fleming, at the beginning of her international career 22 years ago, in John Corigliano’s Ghosts of Versailles or the stellar Nozze di Figaro cast with Renée Fleming, Cecilia Bartoli and Bryn Terfel from a 1998 production.
