Discovery of J.S. Bach organ work

In late March 2008, musicologists Stephan Blaut and Michael Pacholke from the University of Halle discovered a hitherto unknown organ composition by Johann Sebastian Bach among recent acquisitions of the Universitäts- und Landesbibliothek Sachsen-Anhalt. Now numbered BWV 1128, this work is a large-scale fantasia based on the chorale Wo Gott der Herr nicht bei uns hält, comprises 85 bars, and was written sometime between 1705 and 1710. This publication is through Ortus Musikverlag and includes facsimiles and a critical commentary in German.
