Vincent AI Now Available at Vanderbilt Law School

Vanderbilt Law School now has access to Vincent, vLex’s legal AI platform. Vincent combines generative AI with vLex’s collection of legal materials to support legal research and a range of litigation, transactional, and document-analysis tasks.

Vincent’s research tools allow users to ask legal research questions in natural language and receive responses with citations and links to underlying authorities. Other workflows include conducting 50-state surveys, comparing law across jurisdictions, exploring legal propositions, analyzing complaints and other legal documents, creating timelines, and comparing or reviewing documents.

For Vanderbilt Law students, faculty, and staff interested in exploring AI-assisted legal research, Vincent provides another opportunity to work with the kinds of legal AI tools increasingly appearing in practice while continuing to evaluate and verify the sources underlying AI-generated work.

Please remember, if you are a student, do not use AI products for school tasks unless your professor allows you to do so. Access to a tool doesn’t mean authorization to use it. Ask your professors about their AI policies before you engage any tool.

To get started, you can access vLex through the Law Databases A-Z link via SSO: https://researchguides.library.vanderbilt.edu/vlexjustic
