We’re excited to share that DepoSim is now available at the law school. Vanderbilt is the first law school to offer AltaClaro’s AI-powered deposition simulation to students, through a partnership announced in September 2026 that pairs platform access with integration into VAILL programming and classroom teaching.

DepoSim is a deposition simulation platform built by AltaClaro in collaboration with Verbit and used by more than 25 Am Law firms since its release in February 2026. Students question simulated witnesses out loud, face real-time objections from opposing counsel personas, and receive rubric-based feedback on questioning strategy, professionalism, and responsiveness after each session. Practice areas include commercial litigation, employment, intellectual property, antitrust, securities, mass torts, and expert witness depositions, with additional content being built to launch later this year and next.

All Vanderbilt Law students can access DepoSim independently through the Law Library via the A-Z Databases. Structured access is also available through VAILL classes, including Legal Practice Technology and Law Firm Practice Simulation, and through VAILL programming and clinical courses.
