Vanderbilt’s Peabody Library will host “STEAMrolling into Discovery,” part of the 10th annual Tennessee STEAM Festival, on Saturday, Oct. 24, from noon to 3 p.m. The free event, open to children ages 3 and up and their families, includes hands-on activities exploring careers in science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM).

This year’s event has a steam train theme and will focus on engineering and its connection to STEAM fields. Nashville nonprofit Recycle & Reinvest will be on hand to screen a documentary film about caring for the environment, and secondary and university students will share their STEAM learning experiences. Additional library and university resources will be featured as well.

Registration is required to attend. Please register here. Parking information will be emailed to registrants by Oct. 16. The Peabody Library is located at 1210 21st Ave. S.

“STEAMrolling into Discovery” is among more than 100 educational events in Middle Tennessee and over 300 across the state taking place as part of the 10th annual Tennessee STEAM Festival Oct. 9–25.
