The libraries continue to have access to a wide range of motion pictures and streaming videos with public performance rights available for viewing by Vanderbilt-affiliated individuals or groups in a non-classroom setting or event. In response to user feedback, these items are now organized into two searchable lists: DVDs and VHS, and Kanopy films. Explicit public performance rights are updated continually. Access these films through our library catalog. Any course-reserved DVDs are not available for group viewings to anyone who is not in the course.
Please know that advertisement and admission for any showing of this content must be directed only to the Vanderbilt community, and no fee or other payment may be collected to gain admission.
Contact Frank Lester, librarian for Communication Studies, Political Science, and Cinema and Media Arts, if you don’t see the film you are interested in, or have questions about use or performance rights.
In addition, this LibGuide for Online Video and Audio Content goes into more detail and has both lists in one place.
