Management Library Spring 2021 Workshops

The Walker Management Library is presenting a selection of workshops for the Owen community this spring on Capital IQ Certification, Tableau, Internship Prep, and Alumni Resources. No experience is necessary for these workshops, all of which will be presented virtually. RSVP to managementlibrary@vanderbilt.edu for meeting links.

Capital IQ Certification – February 11, 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Be among the first to use Capital IQ’s new certification program. This 5-part module will test platform familiarity through the lens of security analysis and provide a “Capital IQ Certified” result if passed, along with a LinkedIn badge. Vanderbilt is piloting this platform before it is rolled out to other academic institutions. Early participants are required to share feedback on their experience.

Introduction to Tableau – March 11, 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

In this workshop you will learn about the powerful data visualization software, Tableau. We will go over how to quickly create a visualization and how to use Tableau Public to share your visualizations.

Internship Prep – April 15, 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Learn how to research the company with which you will be interning, information on their competitors, data on market trends and consumer behavior, and more. Stand out from other interns by being prepared from day one with the research tools you will need.

Alumni Resources – April 29, 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

In this workshop you will learn about the resources available to alumni that can help with future job interviews, market research, or starting a new business. Learn how to get an alumni card and reinstate your VUnetID to be able to access library resources.
