We are pleased to report that the Libraries have extended our agreement with Hathi Trust’s Emergency Temporary Access Service that provides electronic access to many items in our print circulating collections for current students, faculty and staff at Vanderbilt, both onsite and remote.
The ETAS allows electronic access in place of circulation of our physical copies. Items that are available through ETAS will be marked as “HathiTrust Online Access Only” in our catalog. To remain compliant with the HathiTrust ETAS agreement, corresponding physical copies can be used within the library but cannot be loaned or renewed.
We are excited to offer this service—and grateful to you for your understanding as we make these books available more widely in e-versions. The ETAS books that fall into this category make up about 17% of the Vanderbilt collections.
