Come join author and Pulitzer prize winning journalist Amy Goldstein, and Owen Graduate School of Management Professor David Parsley, on April 3rd for a discussion of Goldstein’s book “Janesville: An American Story.”
Goldstein’s new book chronicles the story of what happens to an industrial town when a factory shuts down. According to Goldstein, “Most observers record the immediate shock of vanished jobs, but few stay around long enough to notice what happens next, when a community with a can-do spirit tries to pick itself up.” Named Book of the Year by Financial Times and McKinsey & Company, The New York Times calls it “[M]oving and magnificently well-researched.”
Join Professor Parsley’s students from 1:30-3:00 in the Central Library Community Room. Seating is available on a first-come basis. Email Catherine.Milsom@owen.vanderbilt.edu with any questions.
