The second installment of our Spring workshop series: Tools for Creating Multimodal Works, will be held Friday in Central 418a 11:10-12:00.
Continuing on our theme of creating, sharing, and preserving multimodal works, Stacy Johnson will offer a brief overview of sources of reusable content, followed by an introduction to the Adobe Creative Cloud tools. Stacy will also explore open-source alternatives to these tools.
Additionally, I am pleased to announce that additional details for our event exploring students as creators of open digital content, including registration for included lunch, are now available: https://www.library.vanderbilt.edu/scholarly/openedweek
We are thrilled to be joined by Christina Hendricks, Academic Director of the Centre for Teaching, Learning, and Technology at the University of British Columbia on February 22nd from 11:00 to 2:23. Christina will deliver a talk on the pedagogical innovations made possible through open educational practices. Subsequent to Christina’s talk, we will host an exposition of both digitally-born and openly available student projects here at Vanderbilt, as well as on-campus services available to support these practices.
Librarians representing digital scholarship and scholarly communication, as well as teaching and learning, will also be represented at the Celebration of Learning event on February 4th. Please do stop by to see us!
