The Libraries is pleased to announce GIS Day(s) coming this November 14-16. In coordination with International GIS Day, Vanderbilt University is hosting three days of keynote speakers, hands-on training opportunities, and even a drone mapping project. Join VU to celebrate all things Geographic Information Systems (GIS) November 14-16, in various locations across campus. The Vanderbilt Initiative for interdisciplinary Geospatial Research (VIIGR) TIP, Libraries, and Digital Humanities Center, are thrilled to bring Jim Schindling and Mei-Po Kwan to campus to discuss cutting-edge GIS research, instruction on how you can begin a GIS project of your own, as well as a tour of VU’s innovative Spatial Analysis Research Laboratory (SARL).  Please come and join us at Vanderbilt University for our celebration of all things GIS!
