Join the fun on Tuesday, December 4th as we celebrate the projects created by the Fall 2018 Buchanan Library Fellows. Three Fellows worked with Special Collections and TV News Archive staff to produce documentaries about journalists whose papers are in Special Collections: Jack Corn, Jack Hurst, and Jim Squires. The documentaries accompany an exhibition, The News As it Happened: Journalism from Vanderbilt’s Special Collections. Two Fellows worked on data visualization in the Humanities projects and used the Voyant text mining platform, studying Brazilian journalism about Angola and 19th-century U.K. parliamentarian’s use of French political thought.
The Fellows will all discuss their work followed by a reception. Come see student-staff collaboration in action!
The event takes place in the second floor exhibit gallery in Central Library from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. All are welcome.
