The Silent Voices Project uses the voices of contemporary children to re-create the voices of children silenced at the hands of the Nazis. Under the artistic direction of Blair faculty member Zachary Ebin, the Toronto-based Ton Beau String Quartet performs trios and quartets by young composers based on poetry written by children of the Holocaust. Poems will by narrated by Vanderbilt Hillel students and Vanderbilt faculty member Mitchell Korn will deliver an address at the concert’s midpoint.
This event is free and open to the public and will take place in the Central Library’s Community Room. A pre-concert reception will be held from 6-7 p.m.
