The Wilson Music Library hosts its annual spring celebration of recorded sound on Thursday, March 22, from 3-5 pm. This year, we are thrilled to host Martin Fisher from the MTSU Center for Popular Music, who will give you the opportunity to record your voice or instrument the old-fashioned way: on wax cylinder! Even if you aren’t a musician, this is a great opportunity to see how music was first recorded in the 19th and early 20th centuries.Lemonade and cake will be served. This event is free and open to all Vanderbilt students (including Blair precollege and adult students), faculty, and staff members.
