Since December 2016 the campus has been offering access to portable phone chargers provided by a start-up company, OOMF. Under the terms of the pilot project, OOMF provided the service free of charge with the expectation that a business model using micro-charges for each transaction would eventually be implemented.
While the free service was very popular, the business model proved not to be manageable. As a result the OOMF chargers will be removed before the fall semester begins.
Anyone who has a charger in use when the service stacks are removed, can return the device to the Central Library service desk.
