Eli McDonald is a junior Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering also studying Nano Science and Applied Mathematics. He is from Bettendorf, Iowa and became interested in Vanderbilt because his father is from in rural Tennessee. He is an undergraduate research assistant at the Multi-scale Modeling and Simulations Centre, where he investigates the permeability of phospholipid bilayers using molecular simulation. Additionally, he is a member of the Tennessee Delta Chapter of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity and an executive board member and music producer for the RVU recording club on campus. Post graduation Eli plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering.
