As part of the 2014 International Open Access Week, we invite you to join the library staff for a discussion of Open Access for Social Science research. This event is geared toward faculty and doctoral students who are curious about what open access is or are interested in finding out more about the topic. We will present an information and discussion session regarding practical issues regarding open access and the Social Sciences. The session will include a discussion of the definition and benefits of open access, securing author rights, strategies for releasing work as open access, methods for assessing open access journals, and how the Vanderbilt Library can help you make your work open access.
