The Wilson Music Library recently completed adding two rich collections of compact disc recordings to its holdings. The collection donated by blues scholar Peter Redvers-Lee numbers nearly 200 items ranging from rereleases of early blues recordings from the early 20th century to newer releases of 1990s-era blues and soul. In contrast, the 700-item collection amassed and donated by tango scholar Simon Collier presents the rich and varied history of the tango as it evolved over decades in Argentina and Europe, from the early inspiration of Angel Villoldo to the charisma of Carlos Gardel to the sophistication of Astor Piazzolla.
