The Library is hosting an exhibit of rare and original German texts and modern popular films entitled “Do Deutsch: 500 Years of German Culture in the Vanderbilt University Library” in the Central Library on the fourth floor near the Leisure Film Collection. The exhibit will run through November 7.
This exhibit is in conjunction with Do Deutsch , an initiative of the German Embassy designed to promote the study of German language and culture in the United States at over 50 universities. A range of activities have been scheduled at Vanderbilt and include contests in essay, songwriting/poem, visual arts, film, and engineering. Each contest will be judged and prizes will be awarded at the Do Deutsch gala on Oct. 27 at the Ingram Commons.
