“Terrorists Destroy World Trade Center, Hit Pentagon in Raid with Hijacked Jet.” This Pulitzer-Prize winning headline article announced to the world that tragedy had struck America in the form of attacks on two of the country’s major cities. Americans were desperate for news in those first hours and miraculously, The Wall Street Journal was able to print and distribute this issue on the heels of what became known as 9/11.
