David Weinberger, a noted expert on the increasing impact of technology on business and society, will speak at The Commons on Dec. 6.
Weinberger is the author of The Cluetrain Manifesto and Everything Is Miscellaneous: The Power of the New Digital Disorder. Weinberger is also an NPR commentator, technology columnist, weblogging pioneer and dot com entrepreneur. The former philosophy professor serves as co-director of Harvard University’s Innovation lab and is a senior researcher at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society.
During his talk, which begins at 10:30 a.m. in The Commons Multipurpose Room, Weinberger will discuss how knowledge has changed in the networked age. There will be a book signing and coffee preceding the talk at 10 a.m. This event is part of the library lecture series and is free and open to the Vanderbilt community.
